Frequently Asked Questions

How do I restore my Pro purchase after reinstalling?

Open the app and go to Settings or the Pro Paywall. Tap "Restore Purchases" while signed in to the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. The app will check your purchase history and restore Pro if found.

Where is my data stored?

All your client records, sessions, lash maps, retention check-ins, consent records, and map templates are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. LashMap Studio does not upload your records to any server.

Does the app provide medical or allergy advice?

No. LashMap Studio is a salon recordkeeping and workflow tool. Sensitivity and contraindication fields are for user-entered salon reference notes only. The app does not provide medical advice, allergy diagnosis, eye safety guidance, or any determination of treatment suitability. Always use your professional training and judgment.

How do I export or back up my data?

Go to the Backup & Export tab. You can export a full JSON backup, a Clients CSV, a Sessions CSV, or individual Client Cards as text. All exports are user-initiated and saved or shared to wherever you choose. Pro subscribers can also restore from a previously exported JSON backup.

What features are included in V1?

V1 includes the Eye Workbench (interactive lash map canvas with style presets), Client Trust Vault (up to 20 clients on free; unlimited on Pro), Session Timeline (up to 30 sessions on free; unlimited on Pro), Retention Check-Ins, Map Templates (up to 3 on free; unlimited on Pro), Consent Records (up to 3 per client on free; unlimited on Pro), JSON/CSV/text export, and Pro backup restore.

What is planned for V1.1?

V1.1 plans (not guaranteed) include PDF client card export, before/after photo capture, client present mode, and retention/adhesive analytics. These are planned features only and may change before release.

Troubleshooting

Restore Purchases Not Working

Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. If products are unavailable, check your network connection and try again. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through Apple App Store settings.

Export and Backup

All exports are user-initiated from the Backup & Export tab. After export, the system share sheet will appear β€” choose Files, Mail, AirDrop, or another destination to save or share the file. Anyone you share a file with may be able to read its contents.

Local Data and Delete All

LashMap Studio stores all records locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all data from that device. To avoid data loss, export a JSON backup before deleting the app. The Delete All Local Data option is available in Backup & Export.

Free Tier Limits

Free accounts support up to 20 clients, 30 sessions, 3 consent records per client, and 3 map templates. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited records across all categories.

Privacy and Local Storage

LashMap Studio does not require an account or a developer backend. All your data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
